Apple iOS 9: Release Date and Expectations

Apple iOS 9

Well, with the announcement of iOS 8 on June, 2014 by Apple Inc. and official release to public in September, 2014. Apple changed the whole concept of its operating system’s appearance and features. The announcement of new iOS was made officially at WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference). On 17 November, 2014, during the release of iOS 8.1.1, Apple Inc. modified the iOS App Store with the label GET instead of FREE for the apps, which there’s no charge of downloading. This update was done because of children who used to download apps without their parents’ consent. Now, we are guiding our eyes for iOS 9.

The new features in iOS 8 got much more than we thought such as Photos and Camera (app contains more options to edit photos), Notification Centre (changed from iOS 7. In the iOS 8 Notification Centre, there are only two tabs, Today and Notifications, compared to the Notification centre in its predecessor, iOS 7, which had three tabs), Messages (users can send audio and video messages by holding down the record button), Keyboards (new predictive typing feature called QuickType), and HealthKit (service that allows developers to make software that integrates with the new Health application). Well, there are many more features such as iCloud Drive and Spotlight.

Release date possibilities

Well, there are many hearsays about the release date of iOS 9 but as we know rumours could not be considered true at once. Rumours are lies mixed up with truths. But, we have much more then rumours all around online. The release date of iOS 9, the new version of iOS operating system, will be available to general public on September, 2014. But, there is no certainty of its official release date but it is said that on June, 2014, the new iOS 9 will be available to the testers and developers as per the terms and conditions of Apple Inc.

Expectations of new iOS 9

Undoubtedly, there are more expectation then possibilities in new iOS i.e. iOS 9. There are rumours all around online about the appearance, features and developments about the expecting version of iOS.

Well, we have some expectations: Proper parental controls (as there is no strong control over children and private photos and videos), Multiuser support/user accounts (user expect more control and support over the Apple device), FaceTime video messages (a must update), Group FaceTime calls (people are fed up of Skype), Split-screen multitasking (competition to Android), ability to change default apps (So much useless apps such as Stocks), to delete or at least hide the defaults applications (applications are quite headache sometimes), Battery-saving mode (Apple devices drink so much battery), Ability to add apps and settings to Control Centre (need control all over the device), better Home screen widgets (Widgets are a must need somewhere for fast use), Smaller file when upgrading iOS (Upgrade are so much data consuming) , Calculator on iPad (it’s a must use app), iMessage improvements (app should have some better options), Wider social-media integration (humans are social butterflies in fact), Improved integration between Contacts and Facebook (so much problem in connection and data), better Photos app, and new feature of Subfolders.
