The Most Popular Online Payment Methods

The Most Popular Online Payment Methods
Any modern business with an attractive and functional website selling multiple products and services, needs to start thinking about which online payment methods are offered to their customers or clients. Failing to identify some of the most popular solutions could result in you losing out on potential sales, and so it really is vital you allow payment through as many different means possible. Though most will probably use the same two methods, others will be more inclined to try something new, and you need to be ready for this.
The Most Popular Online Payment Methods
With that in mind, I’ve taken a couple of hours this morning to browse through some of the most popular and profitable websites in the hope of being able to find out which methods they use, and why they don’t use some of the others out there. Luckily, I found this task pretty easy, and so I’m able to write a short post informing you of my findings. So, give me your full attention for the next few minutes, and I’ll do my best to point out the ones they use, and tell you why they made this choice. Hopefully this information will help you to decide which are most suitable given the current position and nature of your business.

PayPal

Topping the list as always is PayPal. This payment system is renowned for being one of the safest on the internet, and because of this, most people feel completely comfortable entering their payment details. Through PayPal, you’ll be able to accept credit and debit cards, as well as direct bank payments for people who’ve got registered accounts. I have to be honest and tell you my associates PayPal account was hacked just before Christmas and over £1000 was taken. However, I must also share with you that, within one week, all the money had been returned. They’re very quick to sort out any errors.

Google Wallet

Now, I’d never really used Google Wallet before, but I opened an account earlier and made a few purchases so I’d be able to give you an insight into the service. Basically, it seems Google have just replicated the features on offer at PayPal, and so it’s nothing to write home about. That said; in my own opinion; Google are a much more trustworthy company, and so perhaps many people flock towards this payment system for that reason. Interestingly, I read recently that Google will be releasing a physical credit card over the next 12 months, so maybe this is something to watch out for, as it could see them raised to the very top of lists like this.

Fast Charge

The Fast Charge payment gateway has been around for a while now, and buzz online suggests people are very impressed by the quality of service it offers. Users are given a virtual online terminal, they can accept mobile payments, set up recurring billing and deal with payment by phone should the need ever arise. One of my colleagues uses this solution for his online business, and although I’ve not spoken at length with him about it; he seems more than happy with the service so far.
Well, now you’ve had a few moments to read through the payment options above, you should be in a much better position to determine which one would be most suitable for you and your online business. Personally, I think they’re all good, and can see no major issues with using either.
I hope this post has helped you make a decision – see you soon!
