The epic Ramayana has several storied of greater life values attached to it. Each of these stories are attached to significant places in India, which are a must visit, especially for the younger generation you can’t see beyond multiplexes and mall. Let’s take a look at some of these significant spots.

 

Mumbai to Raipur – Coming from the financial capital of India, travelling to a city like Raipur would be really eye opener to students. The capital city of the state of Chhattisgarh, Raipur is a major industrial town and also the largest steel market in India. With more than 200 steel manufacturing units and plants, the city is also known for industries like electricity production, aluminium mining, coal and more. Chennai to Rameswaram – One of the significant religious centres in the south, Rameswaram is famous for the Ramanathaswamy temple which is one of the twelve jyotirlingas in the country. Lying on the southern most tip of the country, it is where Hanuman’s Vanar Sena helped Lord Rama to reach Ravana’s country by building a bridge of floating stones. According to the epic the places bears strong religious significance and sees a large number of tourists and devotees visiting its beaches every year. Archaeologically, there have been instances where satellite imagery have shown a straight archipelago of submerged islands connecting the two countries, thus firming the belief. Hyderabad to Bhadrachalam – Hyderabad, the city of Nawabs, is also home to several prestigious educational institutions. For the students studying in these premier colleges, to enhance their knowledge come out from the modern bubble, places like Bhadrachalam is a perfect spot.

 

An ancient temple city in the state, Bhadrachalam is situated on the banks of river Godavari about 300km from Hyderabad. The place is known for its significant importance in the epic Ramayana. It is where Lord Rama crossed the river Godavari while on his expedition to bring Sita back. Marking the incident, you can find several temples in the region. The entire ruins and historical artifacts will help you understand the little facts in the epic. Apart from its religious significance, Bhadrachalam is known for its scenic attractions.
