Darjeeling – Situated in the area of lesser Himalayas, the hill station of Darjeeling is famous for its tea estates. The hill station is located at an altitude of approx. 2000 meters above sea level and is considered as the largest promoter of tourism in the state of West Bengal. Apart from its profound surroundings, the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway is amongst the biggest attractions in the hill station. The toy train which revolves around its green valleys is a World Heritage Site, declared by the UNESCO.
